Help Us Refurbish a Used Instrument

Don’t have a used instrument to donate? Or can’t make it to our Used Instrument Drive? You can still make a meaningful impact.

It costs us an average of $75 to professionally refurbish one donated instrument before it’s placed with a student.
Your $75 gift ensures an instrument is repaired, cleaned, and ready for the classroom, giving a student the opportunity to fully participate in music education.

How To Sponsor An Instrument

Choose an Instrument
Select the type of instrument you’d like to sponsor—flute, saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, and more. Click on your selection from the choices above.
Make a Gift
Each instrument has a fixed donation amount based on its cost. When you choose an instrument, you’ll be directed to a donation form with the appropriate amount pre-filled.
Leave Your Mark (Optional)
We’ll use your donation to buy the instrument. To acknowledge you, your name will be added to a tag on the instrument in the form of “This instrument generously donated by __________.” If you prefer to remain anonymous, simply check that option on the donation form.
Make a Difference
Your sponsorship ensures that a student who might otherwise miss out can participate fully in their school’s music and band program.

Donate a Used Instrument

We gladly accept donations of gently used musical instruments. If you have an instrument to give but are unable to drop it off yourself, we’ll be happy to arrange a pickup. Your donation helps us grow our collection and expand access to music education for students across Newfoundland and Labrador. Every donated instrument brings us one step closer to ensuring that every child who wants to participate in music class can do so—regardless of their financial circumstances.

When we receive a donated instrument, our team carefully assesses it for any damage or malfunctioning parts. If repairs are needed, they are completed by skilled volunteers or partner technicians to ensure the instrument is safe, functional, and ready for use in a school setting. Once refurbished, the instrument is catalogued and added to our lending library, where it will be matched with a student in need. Your donation doesn’t just give an instrument a second life—it opens the door to a lifetime of music for a young learner.
